Gateway Sourcing is helping our client identify a Regional Sales Manager of automotive products.  The responsibility is to develop new customers and opportunities for value added products.  Target OEMs: Nissan, VW, Toyota, FCA, or Ford manage sales for direct OEM business; manage sales for direct OEM business.  Support the organization with all sales policies and governance, price and product strategy

 

Responsibilities:

  • Foster current customer relationships and establish new ones
  • Responsible for assigned area with special focus on premium product sales strategy development
  • Sales management tools; Sales Force, price configurator forecasting tool
  • Business development: Identifies all possible opportunities which can be offered by the organization
  • Identifying target customers and strategy as it relates to overall growth objectives
  • Interfacing with Inside Sales, Marketing, and Business Development as part of a working team

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree preferred; MBA desired
  • Knowledge in metals products, special products, and Automotive.
  • Experience establishing and growing relationships with OEMs
  • Customer Service Experience
  • Negotiation experience

Location: Detroit, MI

Travel:  75%; one third driving, two third air

 Compensation:  Position is full time, non-exempt, and is eligible for overtime.  Compensation will be commensurate with experience and includes benefits.
