Gateway Sourcing is a professional recruiting and staffing company. We have a client within the manufacturing industry looking to hire a Strategic HR Business Partner. Applicants must have at least 5 years of HR experience and demonstrate strategic HR initiatives.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The business partner is responsible for coordinating all of the people functions of the Mobile, AL site in accordance with company policies and practices. The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management and acts as an employee champion and change agent.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be able to consult with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
- Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with leader to develop solutions, programs and policies.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal department as needed/required.
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Develop contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers.
- Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university
- 6 to 10 years of HR experience and has worked in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Lean principles strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational development, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
- Ability to work in a matrix environment
- Leadership skills
- Ability to work well within a team and independently
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Development and execution of training plans
- Knowledge of Lean Principals
- Experience with SAP software
- SPHR or SHRM-SCP
LOCATION: Position is based in Mobile, AL. This is an onsite position; not remote. Relocation assistance may be considered for exceptional candidate.
TRAVEL: Negligible
COMPENSATION: Salary range is commensurate with experience. This is a full-time, permanent position and includes full benefits.
