Senior Developer
Gateway Sourcing, a professional staffing company, is working with a client to hire an ASP.NET/C# Developer. As a Senior Developer you will lead team efforts to build, support and maintain a suite of custom developed enterprise applications. The position requires collaboration with a team of Developers, QA Testers, DevOps Engineers, Solution Architect, and Project Managers with the goal of providing quality software solutions to both internal and external customers.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage work tasks for a team of developers, remote and onsite. Provide guidance to team in producing quality software.
- Design and describe business processes to management and internal teams.
- Assist Project Management with triaging and requirements gathering.
- Coordinate software releases in an agile environment.
- Communicate with external vendors and manage integrated software.
- Assist in developing and maintaining project plans: scoping work, logging time, and communicating possible project risks.
- Provide escalated technical support.
- Writing and managing code through the SDLC.
- Performing code reviews and providing technical analysis using tools that perform static scanning.
- Monitor applications and investigate system behavior in Azure AppInsights.
- Migrate applications from legacy IIS host to Azure PAAS. Migrate applications from .Net Framework to .Net 8.
Qualifications
- B.S. or B.A. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 2+ years developing experience.
- Proficient in MS O365 applications.
- Experience in C# and backend .NET development stack (.NET 6, 8, .NET Framework, SQL Server, IIS).
- Experience in Javascript and web development technologies (HTML, CSS, NodeJS, NPM, frameworks like Angular or React).
- Strong SQL Server skills and relational database management.
- Technical understanding of SOAP, WCF, and RESTful web APIs.
- Azure experience (PaaS, message bus).
- Kanban experience.
- CICD pipeline experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong ability to multitask multiple projects and priorities.
- Must have good organization and exceptional time management skills.
- Must have excellent customer service skills and be able to interact with individuals from all levels of the organization.
- Must be highly disciplined, self-starter with the ability to execute on assignments independently and effectively.
- Ability to work in a cohesive team environment.
The Location: The position will be located in Mobile, Alabama.
Travel Expectations: Negligible
The Compensation: This is a full time position and salary will be commensurate with experience – $100K+. The company also provides a bonus dependent upon success of the business and offers major medical health benefits and a 401K program.
