As a Maintenance Engineer / Network Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Maintaining Carrier and Enterprise Networks
1st Level NOC escalation for troubleshooting Network degradation and equipment failures
Network upgrades
Replacing end-of-life Network devices and perform project driven Network forklifts
Creating and reviewing MOPs
Maintaining MS Window support for all departments
Prioritizing Maintenance Schedules
Providing scheduled training for Access Engineering, NOC, and Field Techs
Creating/updating network designs, documentation, and weekly/monthly reports.
Work closely with Operations, Engineering, ISP, and OSP departments to identify, log, and eliminate recurring network issues
Scheduling and instructing techs/engineers to assist with Network maintenance
Primary On-call rotation

You must be able to work within the following conditions:

High stress outage situations
Working at least one afterhours maintenance window a week
Travel when needed
Work weekends, outages, and natural disasters when needed

Requirements:

SONET, DWDM, OTN, Ethernet, IP experience

Cisco CCNA/CCNP not required but desired

Location: This position is based in Mobile, AL.

Travel: Negligible
