We are working with a client looking to hire an experienced Injection Molding professional.

The Location:  The position will be located in Carlsbad, CA and reports to the VP/General Manager.

The Position: 

This is a full time permanent position.  This person will also have management responsibilities for 7 others in the tooling, engineering and maintenance area.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing all engineering related activities in the plant, including overseeing project management, manufacturing engineering, process engineering, tool room, and maintenance
  • Establish procedures for maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations, product quality, reliability and safety
  • Determine and enforce productivity, quality, and safety requirements in accordance with real company needs, based on current regulations and state-of-the-art product development
  • Promote companywide quality improvement efforts to ensure defect-free, competitive products to our customer, which meet or exceed customer needs and expectations
  • Responsible for implementation and maintenance of the ISO & FDA requirements, per the Quality Manual procedures
  • Acts as liaison with external parties on matters relating to the procurement of services and materials for the company’s products.
  • Works closely with the Operations, Quality and Finance
  • Perform other duties as may be periodically assigned

Requirements

  • College degree (BS preferred) in a technical field
  • 10+ years of technical experience in injection molding
  • Strong tooling background
  • Strong understanding of SPC, Processing (De-Coupled Molding)
  • CAD/CAM tool design experience
  • 3-5 years in managing technical personnel and complex activities within the injection molding environment. These experiences should be gained in areas of engineering or technical operations
  • Must have knowledge of ISO and FDA compliance standards
  • Strong communication skills; verbal and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to speak Spanish is preferred

  • Maintenance department
  • Engineering department
