We have a client looking to hire a Technology Service Manager to support the technical needs within their company.  Candidate should have a minimum of 2+ years work experience and demonstrate their successful IT management ability.

The Location:  The position will be located in Mobile, AL and reports to the IT Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate IT Support field operations
  • Work with Technology Director to track and analyze equipment inventory, ensuring an inventory management practice that adequately supports the operational needs.
  • Define and execute quality control practice in the technology support functions.
  • Oversee the routine requisition of hardware and network access.
  • Research and establish PC standards
    • Computing Hardware by position
    • Software needs
  • Directly supervise all technology support staff
  • Schedule and appropriately staff Help Desk and Web Support operations
  • Define and enforce internal and external Service Level Agreements.
  • Communicate and coordinate planned and unplanned system outages.
  • Perform retrospectives on any service interruption and report findings to the Technology Director.
  • Establish and maintain a Support knowledge base.
  • Manage on-call and after hours support operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years experience in a technology management role (help desk / field staff)
  • Demonstrated successful management of 3+ direct reports
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work on multi-functional teams and proven verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to construct and follow closely a well-defined and successful process.

Travel:  Negligible

Compensation:  Commensurate with experience, this permanent position pays $45K+ with full benefits and matching 401K program.
