Outstanding career opportunity! This is a regionally based company, privately held and making tremendous investments in their infrastructure and personnel. The focus of the Manager of Technical Operations will be to manage a team of voice and data engineers in the support, maintenance, testing and programming of new customer’s equipment. Manage team members and processes to meet, and consistently improve, company and customer expectations. Make recommendations on improvements for existing and future processes. Create, review and enforce policies, procedures, and standards for departmental use, in addition to any other job related tasks as required by the VP of Business Service Operations.

- Lead team members to successfully assist in end user satisfaction while following established policies and procedures.
- Cross-train and develop skills of staff, to include succession planning. Hire, train, and give performance feedback to employees. Develop and maintain effective communications and working relationships.
- Supervises and leads team of technicians. Defines, documents and maintains policies and procedures for the Technical Operations team.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Experience in supervisory role required; must have demonstrated leadership ability, strong communication skills, and ability to work successfully in a team environment.
- Experience with training, project management, engineering, problem solving, network design and customer advocacy required.
- Ten year’s telecommunications work experience, with five years in the installation of telecommunications equipment in a business environment preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills that will provide ability to manage multiple projects
Additional requirements:
Due to the nature of this position, all candidates must have:
- A dependable vehicle
- A clean driving record free of DWI/DUI (within the past 5 years)
- Few if any moving vehicle violations (e.g. speeding tickets)
- A clean drug screening test
- Must work some evenings and Saturdays when requested.
Location: This position is based in the Greater Jackson, MS area
Travel: Travel is negligible but may include some overnight stays.
