We have a client looking for 4 junior level accountants.  Two (2) general accountants doing credits, debits, reconciling, month end, etc.  One (1) accountant that has some experience with COGS; and One (1) accountant with Tax Compliance experience.

 

All candidates must have a 4 year accounting degree from an accredited university, and CPA eligible.  Preference for CPA designation.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Exercises accounting control over a group of general ledger accounts.  Initiates and processes journal entries into various accounts.
  • Records, classifies, and summarizes financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.  Develops and maintains documentation and computations to support account balances. Reconciles sub-ledgers to the general ledger and resolves differences.
  • Analyzes, interprets and communicates financial information for users inside and outside of Accounting Department.  Serves as subject matter expert on projects which require specialized accounting knowledge and application of assigned areas.
  • Provides analysis and performs a variety of tasks for month-end and year-end close.
  • Tracks, summarizes and reports data required by regulatory authorities as needed.  Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory rules and regulations.
  • Makes recommendations to management for problem resolution.  Uses various software applications such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting. Masters in Accounting or MBA with accounting focus preferred.
  • CPA designation or CPA eligible
  • Recent graduate to 3 year work experience may be considered.
  • Ability to plan and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must have a high standard of ethics and professionalism.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.
  • Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder to be considered for this position

Travel:  Travel is negligible

 

Compensation:  Compensation is $50 K+ commensurate with experience; Medical / Dental benefits, 401K, profit sharing
