We have a client looking for 4 junior level accountants. Two (2) general accountants doing credits, debits, reconciling, month end, etc. One (1) accountant that has some experience with COGS; and One (1) accountant with Tax Compliance experience.
All candidates must have a 4 year accounting degree from an accredited university, and CPA eligible. Preference for CPA designation.
Responsibilities:
- Exercises accounting control over a group of general ledger accounts. Initiates and processes journal entries into various accounts.
- Records, classifies, and summarizes financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Develops and maintains documentation and computations to support account balances. Reconciles sub-ledgers to the general ledger and resolves differences.
- Analyzes, interprets and communicates financial information for users inside and outside of Accounting Department. Serves as subject matter expert on projects which require specialized accounting knowledge and application of assigned areas.
- Provides analysis and performs a variety of tasks for month-end and year-end close.
- Tracks, summarizes and reports data required by regulatory authorities as needed. Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory rules and regulations.
- Makes recommendations to management for problem resolution. Uses various software applications such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting. Masters in Accounting or MBA with accounting focus preferred.
- CPA designation or CPA eligible
- Recent graduate to 3 year work experience may be considered.
- Ability to plan and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must have a high standard of ethics and professionalism.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.
